Boydens collaborates with MIA design studio to design Qudos resort in Hoi An
On 03/01/2017, boydens engineering signed the contract for the design of a resort hotel in Hoi An. The resort will be part of Amari Resort brand. The architect is MIA Design Studio, based in HCMC and specialized in hospitality and residential projects with strong orientation to sustainability approach. This is the first project that boydens would provide both C&S and M&E fully integrated in 3D for optimal clashes control in Vietnam.
Boydens’s working on CM2 Project
In February 2017, Phu My Hung Development Corporation and Boydens Engineering signed a contract for Crescent Mall Phase 2 project. In this project, Boydens is responsible for Passive Design optimization, MEPF review and Energy Modelling for LEED certification (target level: Silver)
The project Crescent Mall phase 2 concerns the construction of a 24 floor mix-use tower next to the existing shopping mall, including a 6-floor podium to extend the existing mall and office space in the floors above.
Boydens Engineering operates here passive design simulations to assist the architect in conceiving the façade, checking solar exposure, daylight levels, and thermal comfort.
Additionally, Boydens Engineering reviews MEP design with the objective not only to comply with local codes and submission conditions, but also to propose optimizations that can save cost on investment, maintenance and operation. Finally, Boydens Engineering is the Energy Consultant to realize energy studies within LEED certification, for the targeted Silver level.
Also in February 2017, Tiger Innvotec and Boydens Engineering started their collaboration on the Green Clinics project, in which Boydens provides Energy feasibility study: Energy Audit of an existing structure, Energy Modelling of the existing structure and optimization, Development of a typical concept to duplicate through Vietnam.
The client aims to develop a network of 300-500sqm proximity clinics across Vietnam. The feasibility study process proposed by Boydens Engineering consists in auditing an existing unit in HCMC, and challenge it through Energy Simulation in order to get an optimized concept. This optimized concept includes architecture enhancement (materials, windows, glazing properties, shading) but also MEP equipment (ventilation, AC system, hot water production, photovoltaic, etc.). The optimized concept aims to be the baseline of the multiplication of these clinics across Vietnam, with for each location a fine-tuning proper to the concerned unit.
- Boydens pursues its growth in Vietnam
In the past year, a number of employees from boydens have been growing. We are proud to announce that this build our teams stronger to handle all projects in the next year 2017
- Boydens-SECO collaboration
On14/11/2016 Boydens and SECO; one of the leading technical inspection service providers and advisors in Belgium; signed an MoU, in which Boydens would become the representative of SECO in South East Asian region.
