Mr. Guy BALZA

Guy Balza is a passionate professional with strong international experience in developing new business and building enduring and profitable brands. His career started in Belgium in the FMCG sector with Beiersdorf and Ferrero in marketing roles. In 1987, Guy begun to work at Interbrew (InBev and currently AB InBev). He had various national and international marketing assignments in the first years, before moving in 1995 to international marketing and business development. Guy travelled extensively from 1995 to 2004, to more than 30 countries in order to cultivate the international InBev brand's portfolio in Europe, Asia Middle East and Africa. He successfully settled strong partnerships across different countries (distribution and license contracts and JVC). As part of his assignment, he was president of the Board of InterBrew Spain from 2002 to 2004, which he restructured to become profitable. From 2005 to 2007, he joined the Central Europe business unit as marketing director Balkans, and later as sales director on/off trade for Central Europe. After nearly 20 years at InBev, he decided to make a major change to his career and moved with his family to Vietnam, a country with a promising and exciting future. In 2008, he became managing director of OMG Vietnam, an international marketing service company specialized in shopper and precision marketing as well as brand activation solutions.
At last, Guy joined the BeluxCham Board at the end of 2009, and is Chairman of the association since March 2011.
