Webinar | Wednesday, 20 April, 2022 | 04:00 PM Vietnam / 05:00 PM China / 11 AM CET

Dear Members

April 20, DSA Vietnam will organize a webinar with the presence of Koen Soenens, BeluxCham Board Member / Director Sales & Marketing at DEEP C – Hai Phong to their webinar series “Vietnam’s Key Investment Industries and Destinations 2022. Part 1, “Vietnam’s Logistic Industry – Hot Spot Hai Phong”. Chaired by Dezan Shira’s Head of European Business Development Riccardo Benussi, this webinar will cover the prospect of growth in the North of Vietnam, focusing on opportunities for the logistics business.

As Vietnam’s government aims to develop the country into an export-driven economy, logistics is fast becoming one of the leading sectors. Vietnam’s logistics sector is expected to contribute 5-6 per cent to the country’s GDP, record a growth rate of 15-20 per cent and rank 50th in the global LPI by 2025

Furthermore, Vietnam’s geographical advantages include a natural coastline that spans over 3000 kilometres as well as proximity to China, all of which give way to significant potential for growth in maritime transport.

The featured city of Hai Phong is one of such hubs, acting as the main output point for Vietnam’s Northern Key Economic Region.

Join us in the Webinar where we will take a deep dive into the opportunities and challenges one may find associated with expanding into the logistics business in Vietnam, specifically Northern Vietnam.

What you will learn in this webinar:

  • The Vietnamese logistics industry in comparison with other ASEAN economies
  • Specific facts and figures, regional characteristics, and how to utilize them
  • What businesses in logistics should consider when selecting a site
  • Close-Up Hai Phong and region, focusing on preferable conditions for the logistic branch

*FDI Destination Vietnam: 3 Regions and Industries with Great Potential in 2022 is a three-part series of Webinars aiming to raise awareness on key market developments in regional Vietnam, as we feature three top economic performing cities and the industrial sector most

Webinar “Brussels Airport: how strategy and innovation connect its growing Cargo Community to Singapore and Beyond”

Air cargo is a critically important industry, which this pandemic again reminded us of. During the crisis, it has been a lifeline for society, delivering critical medical supplies and vaccines across the globe and keeping international supply chains open. And for many airports and airlines, air cargo, which generated $129 billion in 2020, became a vital source of revenue when passenger flights were grounded. Looking toward the future, the outlook is strong indeed. Offering us a moment of reflection on the past two years but especially also insights into the exciting times ahead are Brussels Airport Company, our Platinum Sponsor for a long, and our home-based Changi Airport Group.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲? How does Brussels Airport market itself globally to the Cargo community and how can it uniquely distinguish itself from the many other airports in a range up to 500 kilometres? What is behind the fine examples of embracing technology and innovation at Brussels Airport, which include going paperless, digital green lanes, blockchain & cloud-based operations, and setting up a unique ecosystem community with all actors collaborating and benefiting from it? And finally, despite the 10.500 km distance between Brussels and Singapore, it seems their airports are working closer – and ambitiously – together than one might suspect at first sight.Come and join us for an insightful session that will cover many angles of the Air Cargo business, with obviously at the end an opportunity for you to take part in a debate or ask your pressing questions.
